From Moth to Cloth, A Silk Seminar by Michael Cook

What an amazing seminar! Michael kept us entertained from beginning to end. He had the cutting table full of silk items- worms, cocoons, moths, spinning wheels, silk art, etc which we all got to touch and see up close! By the end of the seminar it was evident that Michael's knowledge of silk comes from his passion for the entire silk process. If you did not get a chance to come, here are some pictures (click to enlarge). We hope to have him back in the spring!

  1. How much fun is this. It's amazing to see where the beautiful silk comes from. It's even more amazing to me to look at the fiber up close (like in a microscope) to see why it has such glorious luster. Here's to silk - my fav fabric!
